Chiropractic is a natural healing art that respects that your body has an inherent drive to heal naturally and thrive in life. We recognise the importance of your nervous system (central communication system) in this role, we aim to support this system by making corrections to the spine to take stress off your nervous systems ability to heal and regulate normal processes. When your body is working normally again, you can heal more efficiently specific to your current health situation.
Chiropractic specialises in specifically analysing the spine and its concomitant structures with the aim of facilitating improved normal function of the body to help you heal naturally. This analysis is performed using a number of techniques that use specific “indicators” or signs that your Chiropractor uses to determine exactly when to adjust, where and how whether you have symptoms or not. We do not perform general manipulative techniques. We pride ourselves on precision. Determining the exact areas that are stopping your body recovering and functioning at its best.
We see a lot of previously diagnosed conditions and complaints in our practice – such as migraines, different headache diagnoses, lower back pain, sciatica and other radiculopathies. We don’t treat conditions directly. Instead, we take a holistic approach that focuses on improving the function of your nervous system to help your body function at its best. When the body is free from nervous system interference, many people experience improvements in a wide range of areas - such as headaches, back pain, sleep, energy levels, behaviour, mental health and overall well-being - as a by-product of restored normal functioning.
We offer a range of techniques tailored to each individual, including: Our adjustments are tailored to each individual who enters our practice. We understand that everyone is unique in their history, current state of stress, pain levels, body shape, etc. Therefore, we utilise approaches that ensure we can tailor for you. We use a number of “classic” adjustments commonly associated with Chiropractic care. We use deeper structural and gentler tonal techniques to ensure you are receiving exactly what you need at the correct time.
Your adjustment is always based on how your body is presenting on the day of your visit.
Each session includes a pre-check, the adjustment itself (if required), and a post-check. The time for each check and adjustment uniquely varies depending upon how you are presenting on the specific day – what you need, what your current state is and what your body is ready to use for change. Generally, leave up to 15 minutes for each check and adjustment.
